It is also advisable to get a cable to connect the display output to a modern monitor with Audio/Video connectors, or with a SCART socket. You can search eBay to quickly get one of these.
Please note that, on a physical VIC, .TAP files might need to be converted back to tape cassettes or if you prefer there are other devices that can enable physical machine to read from a digital file.
