Survivor Run

The object of the game is to beam up the survivor trapped at the bottom of crater on a remote planet. You beam the survivor up by positioning your ship over the top of them, and pulling down on the joystick.

You exit the title screen by pressing a Joystick button.

After exiting the title screen, your ship is lowered into a crater (a vertical tunnel), and suspended until you start the level by pressing a Joystick button. On the crater walls are 4 bases that launch heat seeking missles at your ship. On the bottom of the screen is a purple floor that seals this section of the crater from the next lower section of the crater.

You control your ship's right and left thrusters by moving the Joystick right and left. You control your ship's vertical thruster by pushing up on the Joystick. You fire both your side guns by pressing Joystick button 0. And you drop bombs by pressing Joystick button 1.

You need to burn a hole in the floor, with your vertical thrusters, and then drop through the hole, so you can drop to the next level. When you reach the bottom level, there is a survivor. You need to position your ship over the survivor and pull down on the Joystick to save the survivor.

If the heat seeking missles are coming after you, you need to keep moving out of their way, or they will blow you up. You can destroy heat seeking missles by hitting them with one of your thrusters or by shooting them with your side guns. You can also destroy them by luring them into crashing into the walls (and maybe the floor? - I don't recall). If you lure one of the heat seeking missles into hitting a base, the base will be destroyed.
